The opportunity available is to join our technical sales team. We call it ‘technical sales’ as the systems we sell require a relatively high level of technical knowledge to sell. We’re therefore looking for someone with both technical knowledge and sales skills / the desire to win / sell.

The role available is a both a ‘junior’ and 'senior' role - depending on your experience.

AMCO are in the process of navigating the new world of smart technologies, and re-positioning ourselves.  The role of Technical Sales Manager is at the heart of the company’s evolution.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Executive you’ll be dealing with incoming enquiries, putting together quotations and chasing up leads is an advantage if you’ve done selling as profession before, but we’re mostly interested in your personality and potential to sell, rather than your experience.

We’re an ambitious company, and are looking for ambitious individuals to help grow the company. Importantly the products we deal with are technical, so having good technical know-how and a love of geekery is super important.

Essential Role Requirements

  • Good technical know-how

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – being able to chat away confidently to your customers is a necessity

  • Using good judgement and professionalism to build relationships with customers and colleagues

  • Ability to use your time wisely and efficiently

  • Accountability and honesty

  • Motivation to be successful

  • Very hard-working: your colleagues put a lot of time and effort into doing their job

  • Great attitude and a willingness to succeed and be part of a growing team

Desirable Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Previous sales experience would be an advantage

  • Excellent planning and organising skills

Role Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming phone enquiries and gathering customer needs

  • Designing security systems and putting together customer quotations

  • Entering data into our database

  • Chasing up leads and closing sales

  • Hitting monthly sales and activity targets

  • Sending out regular marketing campaigns
